If you already have a website, or would like to attract more attention to your RoscommonFree.com listing, you can do this by using our banner option. The banners are small advertising graphics located on the right of the page, which are linked to go to a specific location on the internet when clicked on.

Banner Advertising

This offer is available to all businesses, groups or organisations based in County Roscommon, that have already listed in the main directory.

At this stage, this additional option isn't completely free, as the banner upload is not automated and has to be overseen and maintained by an Administrator. This is for security reasons and to avoid abuse by web spammers, but we have still made it as cost-effective as possible, in order to make the option accessible to most businesses in Roscommon.

There is no charge for the actual advertising, or any links to your external web page or site, but due to the time involved in doing this, there is a small administration fee of €25 (including VAT) which works out less than 7 cents per day for the 12 month period.

All banners are uploaded for a period of 12 months, and rotate in a random order throughout the site. All user banners are all treated equally, they are all the same size and are not limited to the categories or the subject matter. Therefore, the only way to increase the amount of times your banner is displayed in the directory is to purchase additional banners.

There are always 3 banners per page, in the 'half-skyscraper' format of 120 pixels wide and 240 pixels high. They can be PNG, GIF or JPG format and must not exceed 20kb in size.

We do not support Flash™ banners at this time and cannot accept flashing or strobing animated GIFs that may have a disruptive effect on the users of the directory. Banners are displayed at the discretion of the Administrator.

TIP: To make your banner stand out against the grey background, we suggest putting a white, 1 pixel border around the edge of your banner.

How To Advertise

It is a simple process to get your banner listed.

1. Create your banner.
   Have your web banner designed, or create one yourself if you are pretty slick with a computer. It needs to be 120px wide and 240px tall (72ppi) and must not exceed 20kb in size. PNG, GIF and JPG formats are accepted.
2. Send us your banner.
   Send your finished banner to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it from your business email account, along with the following information:
   - Contact name
   - Name of business
   - Business address
   - Web address to link to. eg. http://www.roscommonfree.com
3. Make payment.
   Click this PayPal* payment button in order to pay for the upload. You do not need a Paypal account to use this and you will be sent a receipt to your email address. We will also send you a hard copy VAT invoice (from Infiniti Mixed Media) for your records.
   
   
   
   
   When we receive your file, we will check it's suitability for the directory and verify it against your business listing. We can then upload the banner to display for a period of 12 months.

*Paypal is a popular and secure method of payment across the internet, you do not need a Paypal account, and you can find out more information at the PayPal website.

To get you started we have put together a few blank banner templates in the RoscommonFree.com glossy style. You can take a copy of these by dragging the image to your desktop or right-clicking on the image and saving it to your computer.
